Arsenal will have to bid more for Jagielka

Posted on 21 July 2011 by in headline

It’s quite clear that Arsenal lack a solid central defensive partnership and manager Arsene Wenger has his sights set on Everton’s Phil Jagielka.

However if he really wants the 28 year old Everton defender he will have to up his bid after the £10 million offer was rejected today. It seems that Everton are looking for nearly double that amount. Arsenal have to be careful where they tread considering they did offer £12 million for the same player a year ago which was subsequently rejected.

It’s only been a few months since Jagielka signed a new 4 year contract at Everton so if Arsenal really want him, they will have to pay up!
